1400 to1403 AD
Rebellion against Henry IV by the Percy family of Northumberland and the Welsh under Owain Glyndwr. At the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403, Harry Hotspur, son of Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland was slain. His body was quartered and part of it was displayed on the Castle walls at Newcastle.

1410 AD
Plague strikes Newcastle.

1415 AD Henry V fights the Battle of Agincourt.
Sir Thomas Grey of Wark was beheaded for treason, and his head was displayed over the gate at Newcastle.
